I served as a "mentor" at the "Asian Youth Forum" by Suwon Special City, South Korea.
On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the "Asian Youth Forum" was held in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, hosted by Suwon Special Special City, South Korea.
Suwon Special City is located about one hour south of central Seoul by subway, and is famous for the World Heritage Site "Suwon Hwaseong".
This forum is to recognize and support Suwon business owners in their 20s and 30s who have already established or are planning to establish a business, and who have excellent business plans. This year, a total of six business owners, led by the vice mayor of Suwon Special City, came to Japan as award winners.
I participated in this forum as a "mentor (advisor)," providing consultation, and advice on the business plans of the business owners.
In many cases, I found that the business proposals were based on the approach of identifying unmet needs, which has not yet apparent in the market, at an early stage and responding to these needs with IT and DX. I got the impression that the participating executives were very good at capturing unmet needs that have not yet recognized apparently in the market.
One of the participating business owners said, "I am grateful that you took enough time to listen to my business proposal," and I felt that it would be a great honor for me to be as a small and middle enterprise management consultant if I could encourage theowners in any way.
The forum was reported in a local newspaper (Incheon Daily).
